Marvel Silver Age Pin-Up Collection Will Launch New Line of Marvel Hardcovers at Yoe Books

Another entire line of Marvel books is launching at IDW thanks to Yoe Books, which announced plans to publish "a sensational series of large-format hardcovers curating the finest artwork from the Golden Age's four-color foundations all the way up to the Marvel Age's dizzying heights." To kick things off, and to tie-in with Marvel's 80th anniversary celebration, the line will start with Marvel Masterwork Pin-ups, featuring pin-ups by Silver Age Marvel artists such as Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, Jim Steranko, Don Heck, John Byrne, Barry Windsor-Smith, John Severin, Wally Wood, Dan Decarlo, John Romita, and more, with "witty wordage, pulse-pounding patter, and zany zingers" by the late Stan Lee.

That book was solicited back in May, but without the additional news that it would be the first in an entire line of Marvel hardcovers from Yoe Books and IDW. Said Yoe Books editor Craig Yoe:

I'm the person that I am (such as that is) because of Stan, Jack, Steve, and the other early Marvel creators inspiring me in my Peter Parker teenage-years. To take this 'journey into history' with this – the first in a line of Marvel books – is an amazing, fantastic, incredible thrill for this proud charter member of the Merry Marvel Marching Society!

Find Marvel Masterworks Pin-ups in stores in July, and look for more releases from the new line later coming later in 2019.
