Spider-Man Tries to Pay Black Cat a Booty Call in Next Week's Amazing Spider-Man #9

Nick Spencer's run on Amazing Spider-Man has done a little to make up for Secret Empire, even if it did go back to the well for a bit with an evil version of Spider-Man running around and causing trouble. Well, not evil exactly. And certainly not Nazi Captain America kind of trouble. Just a Spider-Man who forgot that with great power comes great responsibility, thanks to an accident with an isotopic genome accelerator that split Spider-Man and Peter Parker into two people.

Luckily, Peter and Spider-Man ended up merging back into one person with appropriate views on power and responsibility, but it looks like Spidey is still dealing with the fallout of his less responsible self's antics, as we see in this preview of next week's Amazing Spider-Man #9. It seems that not-so-great Spidey tried to slide into his ex-girlfriend Black Cat's DMs while he was off gallivanting…

Unsurprisingly, she didn't appreciate these overtures.

Luckily, these two are able to patch things up in time for a completely non-sexual team-up when Amazing Spider-Man #9 hits stores next Wednesday.
