From C2E2, Here's the Key Issues Leading up to Marvel's Empyre, and Why the Kree and Skrulls are Right

Earlier today, Bleeding Cool told you about Marvel's impromptu Empyre panel, to be hosted by Al Ewing and to really run up the prices of key issues relating to Empyre's backstory in the speculator market. Bleeding Cool Ace Reporter David Pierce is on hand at the panel sending us photos of the screens so that you can get these on eBay before the panel is over!

First up, Fantastic Four #2, in which Marvel's first family tricks the skrulls into turning into cows. Okay, that one was probably already worth a little bit of money.

Next, Avengers Annual #14, in which the Avengers inflict even more humiliation on the Skrulls.

The Fantastic Four, once again, piss off the Skrulls in Fantastic Four #257.

And back to the Avengers, basically worse than the American C.I.A., in Avengers #347.

Secret Invasion #8, in which Norman Osborn kills the Skrull empress (but at least he didn't sleep with her).

And finally, Guardians of the Galaxy #25 (the one from the Bendis years), with the X-Men at fault this time.

You know what? We kinda have to side with the Skrulls and the Kree in this upcoming super-mega-crossover event.

Happy hunting, speculators! Empyre #1 hits stores in April!

A prophecy once said that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero would come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events. Sadly, that prophecy was wrong. Oh, Jude Terror was right. For ten years. About everything. But nobody listened. And so, Jude Terror has moved on to a more important mission: turning Bleeding Cool into a pro wrestling dirt sheet!
