Terrific Production LLC to Challenge Marvel, Donny Cates With Rival Thor Comic

Terrific Production LLC is the new publisher of Youngblood, having obtained the rights to the dismay of creator Rob Liefeld and immediately capitalized on them with an ongoing stream of Twitter hijinx. Terrific has yet to announce a release date or creative team for their new Youngblood comic, but that hasn't stopped them from announcing or hinting at more projects. The latest appears to be an alternate version of Thor.

Presumably feeling threatened, Marvel's incoming Thor writer, global entertainment superstar and fashion icon Donny Cates immediately retaliated by pointing out an honest mistake. The Bad Boy of Comics tweeted at Terrific, wondering why the artist's signature had been removed from the image. Terrific thanked Cates for the correction and swiftly rectified it and offered to send Cates a free copy of the comic when it comes out.

Then they quickly changed the subject.

Terrific totally supports artists' rights, so much so that they are actually considering giving the artist of the piece credit.

Maybe one of these days. Until then, there's this.
