Cliff Chiang, Writing, Drawing, Colouring, Lettering New DC Black Label Comic

The Image Comics panels celebrating the recently-concluded series Paper Girls by Brian K. Vaughan and Cliff Chiang, may not have meant to make news for DC Comics. I'm sure that's the last thing moderator, and publisher of Image Comics, Eric Stephenson had on his mind. But you never know where the conversation will go.

Anyway, at the end of the Spotlight on Paper Girls panel held in Room 1A02 at New York Comic Con this afternoon, Chiang stated that he will be working on a new DC Comics book, that he'll write, draw, colour and letter for DC's older readers line Black Label. And it was working with Vaughn – and before him, Brian Azzarello on Wonder Woman – that inspired him to do so.

The details on the title are unknown. It could even be about someone other than Batman, Joker or Harley Quinn, Time, and DC Comics' PR department, will tell.
