Marvel Cancels Orders For Stuart Immonen Monograph

Earlier in the year, Bleeding Cool revealed that tp follow up on the Marvel Monograph: Adi Granov, Humberto Ramos and J Scott Campbell editions, it looks like more Marvel creators were getting the Monograph treament, collecting 112 pages of covers and illustrations for the publisher.

In September, we got one for Esad Ribic. here in the UShere in Canadahere in the UK.

In October, we are getting one for Sara Pichelli. Details here in the UShere in Canadahere in the UK.

And in November, we were to be getting one for Stuart Immonen. Details were here in the UShere in Canadahere in the UK.

Bit it now seems that Marvel Comics has cancelled the Stuart Immonen Monograph, without explanation. Maybe it will be resolicited, maybe it's gone completely.

What that means for the Marvel Monograph volumes for Declan Shalvey, Ed McGuinness, Frank Cho, Arthur Adams, or Chris Bachalo, I don't know.

This is what the Immonen collection was solicited as:

Award-winning artistic chameleon Stuart Immonen has constantly reinvented himself throughout his 30-year comic book career, establishing himself as one of the industry's finest talents! Follow him from his early days at Marvel illustrating such titles as THOR and INCREDIBLE HULK, all the way through his visionary collaboration with writer Warren Ellis on cult-favorite NEXTWAVE: AGENTS OF H.A.T.E., to his superstar status of recent years on books including NEW AVENGERS, ALL-NEW X-MEN, AMAZING SPIDER-MAN and his blockbuster stint on STAR WARS! Immonen's finest pages and covers are examined in intricate detail in an artist study that is not to be missed!
