Kevin Feige brought out director Destin Daniel Cretton, who praised the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s diversity, saying he’s proud to see an MCU that reflects “the beautiful colors in this room.” Tony Leung Chiu-wai  (The Mandarin) and Awkwafina will star in the film, with Simu Liu playing the titular master of kung fu.

Shang-Chi was created by Steve Englehart and Jim Starlin, and was part of the original 2006 plans for a Marvel Cinematic Universe which would have seen his film be one of the first franchises launched. As we know, things didn’t work out that way, but fifteen years later, Shang-Chi will finally come to the big screen in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

With Shang Chi announced, here’s what Marvel’s slate is looking like right now.

About Jude Terror

A prophecy says that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero will come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events.

Scourge of Rich Johnston, maker of puns, and seeker of the Snyder Cut, Jude Terror, sadly, is not the hero comics needs right now... but he's the one the industry deserves.
