Dungeons & Dragons To Release D&D Essentials Kit

During D&D Live 2019 today, we got a new product announcement as Wizards of the Coast will be releasing a new Essentials Kit. Much like the Starter Sets they've created in the past, this is going to be everything you need both as a Dungeon Master and a player to figure out the basics of the game and play an adventure. The kit will include a newly designed rulebook that will teach players how to make characters step-by-step and will include a small adventure called Dragon of Icespire Peak for players to quest through as they learn everything they need to grasp the basics of the game.

The game will be sold through Target stores in North America for $25, making it one of the few Dungeons & Dragons products sold beyond conventional game stores or hobby shops. But it won't be a Target exclusive as the kit will eventually make its way to other outlets shortly after the initial launch. The Essentials Kit will officially go on sale September 3rd, 2019.
