Finally, Angel Punisher Comes to Marvel Unlimited

Back in 1998, Marvel, known as the House of Ideas, had one of its best ideas ever. And by best, we mean probably the worst idea ever, at least the worst until Secret Empire retconned Steve Rogers into a Nazi. Of course we’re talking about Angel Punisher, the changing of the Punisher from a gun-toting vigilante into some kind of avenging angel literally working for heaven. It all started in a 4-issue Punisher series by Christopher Golden, Thomas E. Sniegoski, Bernie Wrightson, Jimmy Palmiotti,¬†Brian Haberlin, Elizabeth Lewis, and Richard Starkings. It would essentially ruin the Punisher until Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon came along two years later to promptly make us forget it ever happened with the Welcome Back Frank storyline. But now, we can remember it once more as The Punisher (1998) #1-4 are making their way to Marvel Unlimited this month!

Other classic comics hitting the binge-reading service in February include Daredevil #133-#143, Moon Knight (1980) #24-#38, and Black Panther (1988) #1-#4. Of course, the usual time-delayed current comics will also hit the service this month, a full listing of which you can find below.

About Jude Terror

A prophecy says that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero will come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events.

Scourge of Rich Johnston, maker of puns, and seeker of the Snyder Cut, Jude Terror, sadly, is not the hero comics needs right now... but he's the one the industry deserves.
