The Ghostbusters Get Old in Tomorrow’s Ghostbusters 20/20

Next week sees the release of Ghostbusters 20/20, part of IDW’s 20th-anniversary celebration which looks 20 years in the past or future of IDW’s most popular licensed franchises. We’ve already seen a preview of TMNT 20/20, featuring the Thirty-Something Mutant Ninja Turtles. But for the Ghostbusters, already middle-aged in their prime, 20 years is bound to take more of a toll. So how are our heroes holding up? Well…a little bit grizzled, to be honest.

Sorry, boys. It happens to the best of us.

Luckily, there’s a new team of young Ghostbusters, the Sanctum of Slime Ghostbusters, to take care of business.

Ghostbusters 20/20 hits stores tomorrow. Check out the preview below.

Twenty years in the future, and a new generation of Ghostbusters… is sent on all the jobs Ray, Winston, Peter, and Egon just don’t feel like taking on themselves. The Sanctum of Slime Ghostbusters-Bridget, Samuel, Gabriel, and Alan-have proven themselves many times over… first against the demon Dumazu, and later with the Ghostbusters of many other dimensions in the recent Crossing Over event. Now they’re ready for an easy gig, something like a simple haunted house. But they better be careful… you never know Wat could happen.

About Jude Terror

A prophecy says that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero will come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events.

Scourge of Rich Johnston, maker of puns, and seeker of the Snyder Cut, Jude Terror, sadly, is not the hero comics needs right now... but he's the one the industry deserves.
