First Look at Incursion, Valiant's Next Super-Mega-Crossover Event (Wait, Didn't One Just End?)

In the dog-eat-dog world of comic book publishing, it doesn't matter what you did last month. Only what you're hoping comic book retailers will buy the crap out of three months from now, so long as you slap enough variant covers on it. With that in mind, as the dust has barely settled from Harbinger Wars 2: This Time It's Harbingerer, Valiant is already looking forward to Incursion, and send out a first look preview today.

As first revealed on Paste Magazine, Valiant is proud to present your first look at INCURSION #1 – the FIRST ISSUE of AN UNEARTHLY NEW SERIES by celebrated writers Andy Diggle (SHADOWMAN) and Alex Paknadel (Friendo), with superstar artist Doug Braithwaite (X-O MANOWAR)!

On February 20th, one of Valiant's most iconic and beloved heroes, the Eternal Warrior, emerges to lead the charge in an all-new limited event series, featuring the stunning premiere of a completely new villain to the Valiant Universe – a ruthless intergalactic conqueror known as Imperatrix Virago!

"Rock the [insert publisher here] universe across dimensions?" Gotta give 'em credit, that's the first time we've heard it put like that. Usually, the universe is rocked or shaken to its core, not across dimensions. Valiant has not yet revealed whether nothing will ever be the same again, but maybe they're saving that for final order cutoff.
