DC is Putting Politics in Your Batgirl Comics in January… Literally

Posted by October 15, 2018 Comment

DC Comics is taking the whole secret industry conspiracy to inject politics into all your favorite comic books to a level not seen since Prez was on the stands. In Batgirl #30 and 31, revealed in the DC Comics January solicits, Barbara Gordon joins a political campaign for “up-and-coming reformer candidate who wants to take on the GCPD.” But in doing so, it puts Barbara at odds with her own father, Commissioner Gordon, one generation against another.

It’s metaphorical politics. It’s literal politics. And some superhero punchy kicky as well. What more could you ask for?

See the rest of the DC January solicits here.

About Jude Terror

A prophecy says that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero will come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events.

Scourge of Rich Johnston, maker of puns, and seeker of the Snyder Cut, Jude Terror, sadly, is not the hero comics needs right now... but he's the one the industry deserves.
