PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Will Be Testing Smaller Maps Soon

Those of you hoping for some closer battles and faster rounds in PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, we got good news for you as the company will be experimenting with smaller maps next week on both PC and Xbox One. Below is a brand new tweet that PUBG Corp. sent out yesterday evening, letting players know that starting monday, there will be closed testing of a smaller map called Savage.

The map is part of the company's roadmap for the game, as the new island will be tropical and include a bunch of huts and random vacation-like spots that you'll be able to rummage through as it sits on what we assume is the outskirts of a blast radius for nuclear testing. There was no timeframe given as to when the map would be made live after testing, but considering some of the other test experiments that have been done with the game, expect to see it in late April or early May if all goes well.
