Details Leaked About The PlayStation 5.0 Update

There's a lot of cool news coming out of a PlayStation leak that Eurogamer posted yesterday, and if they're true, it could be some amazing changes to help out certain groups of gamers. Starting right off the bat with the rumor that the 5.0 firmware update will allow Twitch streams to broadcast in 1080p at 60fps, but only for PS4 Pro owners. No real reason is given for the difference between systems, but we're assuming it has more to do with the hardware capabilities.

Another aspect is that you'll be able to follow any streamer on Twitch or YouTube via your PS4, just in case you like watching their content live on the console. There will be a new web app that allows you to manage your family accounts individually, just in case you have kids of two different ages and want to give them different levels of access. One of the best features is that notifications will appear int he home menu, so no need to run all the way back to the main screen to check them out.

No official date has been given yet, and there's still a lot of options that haven't been revealed, but it looks like this may be a step in the right direction for streamers at the very least.
