Funko Offers The Most Adorable Dorbz Yet With DC Bombshells

DC Bombshells started as a variant cover idea and has blossomed into its own very popular series of comics, toys, clothing, notebooks, and yes, Funko Pops. These versions of some of our favorite characters are wildly popular in the cosplay community as well; all that's missing now (I can't believe it hasn't happened yet) is one of the DC Animated films. Funko is doing a second wave of Pops as well, but first there will be Dorbz!

Hailing from an alternate universe where
the heroic women of DC Comics fought in World War II,
this series features the powerhouse pinups in Dorbz form.

General release sees Batgirl, Batwoman, Katana, Harley Quinn, and Wonder Woman. Harley and Diana will also have chase versions: a black-and-white (and red) Harley and a sepia-tone classic-style Diana will be out at a 1:6 ratio.

Hot Topic gets a whopping five exclusives here: Poison Ivy, Mera, Catwoman, Black Canary, and Supergirl can only be found there. And if exclusives were not enough, two of those will also have chases: Ivy will have a glow-in-the-dark chase, and Mera will be a variant with her wearing a sailor's cap and different threads. Both of those will also be 1:6 chases.

Overall, these all look pretty great. While I am not a Dorbz collector, I will probably pick up Batgirl and Wonder Woman. Not being a Harley fan, that is a chase I can avoid, although her Bombshells look is my favorite of hers. But I really like the look of the chase Mera, so I guess I will be hunting down that one. I do not like the practice of a retailer getting exclusives and then chase variants of those exclusives, but it is what it is.

Look for these all to be hitting stores, including all the Hot Topic exclusives, in November.
