We’ve seen the October solicitation for Falcon #1 by Rodney Barnes and Joshua Cassara, the new Marvel Legacy title starring Sam Wilson out of the stars and stripes and back in the wing-focused costume. They also have an Alex Ross “Falcon Design” solicitation variant cover for the first issue — I think this might be it.

And we have some new textual solicitation copy as well…

In the wake of SECRET EMPIRE, Sam Wilson has laid down the shield and taken to the sky once again! Reborn and recommitted, THE FALCON takes flight on a personal mission to reconnect with the American people and train his new partner THE PATRIOT.

At least he’s not walking across America, right? Oh wait, that’s the new Steve Rogers Captain America comic, isn’t it? What was it writer Mark Waid said?

“Half an hour later, still fuming at JMS’s shitty passive-aggressiveness. I should probably go walk it off. Maybe with a long walk. A long, dull, pointless, boring walk. Across America.

That I won’t finish”

Oh wait, no, that was a reference to  Superman: Grounded. Sorry, so easy to mix them up. Anyway, back to Falcon and Marvel Legacy.

But when a gang war overtakes the streets of Chicago, Sam finds himself stuck in the middle of a situation far more dangerous than he could’ve imagined— one with its roots in an unexpected corner of the Marvel Universe!

Gang warfare in Chicago! Of course, the Falcon and The Patriot will get involved…
