Bilall Fallah and Adil El Arbi Will Direct WGN's Scalped Pilot

Belgian directors Bilall Fallah and Adil El Arbi have been hired to direct the pilot for WGN's adaptation of Scalped, the comic book by Jason Aaron and R.M. Guéra. The show, described as "a modern-day crime story set in the world of a Native American reservation, Scalped explores power, loyalty and spirituality in a community led by the ambitious Chief Lincoln Red Crow as he reckons with Dashiell Bad Horse, who has returned home after years away from the reservation," will reportedly feature a predominantly Native American cast, according to Deadline. Scalped ran for 60 issues at Vertigo, so there's plenty of material to adapt.

Bleeding Cool's own Eliot Cole had a chance to read the script for the pilot, written by Doug Jung. You can read his review here.
