Does Something Seem Fishy With Stjepan Sejic's Latest Drawings?
Stjepan Sejic has been a regular with Top Cow for years and I don't think that is going to change any time soon. His wife Linda Sejic also does art for them. Stjepan has done covers for other companies, like a run on the Dresden Files series for Dynamite… so it's not strange to see him drawing non-Top Cow characters. He draws all the time. His Sunstone series was done in his spare time and he's done a lot of comedic pieces with Marvel and DC characters for fun.
Why am I bringing this up? Yesterday Stjepan posted the two following images with the quote: "just some character/material rendering tests".
Four characters from the same comic series as part of a test? I get that these are great characters for testing out drawing scales… except Black Manta has no scales. Nope, I'm not going to read anything more into this. It's obviously just a test…
Okay, how cool would it be to have Stjepan on Aquaman? Or an Aquaman Earth-1 series… just saying. These are totally a character and material rendering test.
