Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 Lego Sets Give You Two Chances At Baby Groot

While not officially official from Lego, some sets have appeared today from the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2. Finally, the baby Groot Lego mini-figure we have all been waiting for! These sets look pretty sweet, if not a little less challenging than I was hoping for as far as builds are concerned.

First we have Ayesha's Revenge, which looks to be a couple mini-rig builds and comes with Star Lord, Yondu, Baby Groot, and Ayesha. Pretty deco on the blocks, it should really pop on a shelf. What does she need revenge for? Who knows, but recreate it with Legos and make it up yourself before you see the film!

Next up is the Ravenger Attack, which to me is more exciting for the minfigs than the set itself. This one included the Mantis and Taserface figures, with a Rocket thrown in as well. Other than that, its The Ravenger with a tree to build. This has to be the least exciting of the three, so hopefully it is not too expensive for collectors that just want the minifigs.

The last, and best set is The Milano V.S. The Abilisk. This is a new version of the Milano set from the first film, but also includes the creature we see multiple times in the trailer. The minifig selections here are home runs, as you get Gamora, Star Lord, Drax, Baby Groot, and Nebula. The Abilisk creature looks pretty unique, pink bricks and all.

I get that they make sets for a variety of price points at Lego, but I can't help but feel that they could have bundled at least Ayesha's Revenge and The Ravenger attack sets together to get a little more bang for your buck. But I am also not convinced that these are the only three Guardians sets we will get. Hopefully after the film is out, they will surprise us with a couple more.
