As the entertainment press prepared to take a day off from grueling 24 hour entertainment news cycle to gorge itself Turkey, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin pie, Fox sneakily announced a bunch of release dates for future movies, including two untitled Marvel films, and what is most likely the long-awaited Avatar sequel. No, we’re not talking about the little bald guy with the wind powers, and we’re not talking about Bleeding Cool’s benevolent benefactors; we’re talking about James Cameron’s high-tech furry porn. Dec 21, 2018 will see a movie from Cameron’s Lightstorm entertainment, prompting widespread speculation and a Thanksgiving cornucopia of clicks for Avatar 2.
November 2, 2018 and February 14, 2019 are the dates for Marvel movies from Fox, which could be Deadpool sequels, X-Men sequels, that Channing Tatum Gambit movie, or even the sequel to Fantastic Four that Fox hasn’t learned their lesson on yet. These join two existing untitled Marvel movies, set for March 2, 2018 and June 29, 2018. Another Marvel film set for October 2017 was pushed out for another sequel, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, about a British secret agent’s love of water sports. We’ll have more on that later.
