Doctor Strange's Other Benedict – Benedict Wong Talks About Doing It For The Ancestors

I wonder how many films have two different guys named Benedict in them? Well, Doctor Strange does and the other one, Benedict Wong who plays Wong… was on the red carpet last night and asked about joining the MCU. He spoke of how he grew up collecting Spider-Man comics and how he noticed there weren't any Asian superheroes… which made him feel he had to get the role of Wong in honor of his ancestors. We also see that his role in the film is teacher and librarian and the actor talks about tucking some of the ideas from the sixties away and making a Wong for a modern time.

Doctor Strange opens November 4th.
