How To Convert A Book Reader To Comics

I was having a discussion this weekend with a group of friends, all of whom are avid readers. But only some of them read comics. If you didn't grow up with comics, sometimes it's hard to get into them as an adult. What we take for granted is we know how to follow the story on a page. So the best thing to do is to get them involved in a story they already love.

Dynamite Entertainment helps a lot with that. This particular group are big on Jim Butcher's Dresden Files, Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time, George R. R. Martin's A Game of Thrones and Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn. Dynamite has worked or is working with all of these authors and more.

So I remembered the current Groupees deal going on right now. I told them if they bought the bundle they would get four Game of Thrones comics, eight John Carter: Warlord of Mars comics and an adaptation of Army of Darkness all for $5.00. Plus they'd get other books they could try out and part of the money went to charity.

I had a couple interested folks, but I needed to seal the deal, so I pulled up some sample pages from Game of Thrones by Tommy Patterson. When they could see the art and get a look at a White Walker, they were hooked. I've heard back from four of them that have already gotten the bundle and one of them is bugging me to find out when Sanderson's White Sand is coming out.

If you're looking to convert a Game of Thrones fan, show them this link and the below art work. Less than 2 days left on the deal.
