A Rebuilt ComiXology 3.0 Launches. Go SeeI remember hanging out at the Dark Horse Comics booth in C2E2, being shown the Dark Horse Comics App, and being told how it was superior to the ComiXology Comics App adopted by Marvel and DC's own Apps for a number of reasons. But the one that stood out for me was that at the end of reading an issue, if it was available, you could instantly download the next one. What a nice, intuitive piece of programming I thought.

Looks like ComiXology thought so too.

It's one of the new features in the ComiXology Comics 3.0 App, a brand new build just launched for the iPhone and iPad.

  • Completely redesigned application
  • Near instant launching
  • Separate "Purchases" area that displays all owned comics
  • New series groupings in store and "My Comics"
  • Discover comics at much faster speeds
  • Pause and prioritize downloads
  • Background downloading
  • Improved "Instant Search"
  • Buy or continue reading the next issue at the end of a comic
