The Brand New Batmobile – There's An App For That – in Batman #88 (Spoilers)

Batman got his first Batmobile in his first appearance, Detective Comics #27 in 1939. And it has been changing shape, style and function constantly ever since. Influencing the TV, the TV influencing the comic, influencing the films and back-and-forth, always one-upping the previous ones.

But in today's Batman #88 from James Tynion IV and Guillem Marchi, we get a brand-new Batmobile. Millions of them. Because basically… there's an app for that.

Wayne Enterprise components in every car in Gotham… in the USA… in the world… I mean, this kind of stuff makes Huawei look like children.

And now every car is a Batmobile, ready and waiting for Batman to drive them, at speeds they would never achieve previously. There's only one downside…

Batman #88 is out today from DC Comics… I bought mine from Piranha Comics in Kingston-Upon-Thames. Piranha Comics is a small south London comic store chain with a small south-east store in Kingston-Upon Thames's market centre, which runs Magic The Gathering nights on Fridays, and a larger south-west store in Bromley, which also runs Magic: The Gathering nights and has an extensive back issue collection and online store.
