William Messner-Loebs Returned to Comics for KISS: The End #3

There has been much in the news in recent years of the plight of comic book creator William Messner-Loebs, best known for writing and drawing Journey from Aardvark-Vanaheim, writing The Maxx for Sam Keith at Image, writing Thor for Marvel and The Flash, Doctor Fate, Wasteland and Wonder Woman for DC Comics. It was at DC, and with Sam Kieth, that he wrote one of my favourite comics of all time, Epicurus The Sage.

And while he has been the subject of charitable help using GoFundMe and the HERO charity, he has new writing credits on KISS: The End #3, for plotting assistance, just published last week.

And this is all down to regular series writer Amy Chu, who reached out to him to both help on the issue and to help him out, and will be splitting the cheque for the issue. This will be his first professional comics writing credit for several years, though his work continues to remain in print.

And while Epicurus The Sage was one of the few comic books in my collection to escape my recent purge, everyone has their favourites it seems.

Anyone else have any room for a certain Messner-Loebs?
