CCP Games is bringing the Guardian's Gala back to EVE Online today, so players can fight against the pirates of New Eden to earn exclusive rewards.

Last year, the Guardian's Gala was attacked by opportunistic capsuleers like always. This year, the Angel Cartel is more prepared than ever to head off the inevitable pirate assault, with both Otuwiri and Khaitetha swearing vengeance on the capsuleers after last year. So players are tasked with taking out both Gala hosts and outlaw attendees to secure points which can be used to claim rewards at The Agency.

To celebrate Valentine's Day, the New Eden Store will offer an exclusive variety of rewards, including a new set of Spirit Skins for additional hulls, Agency Combat Boosters, Facial Augmentations, modules, and fireworks during the Guardian's Gala event.

"The Guardians Gala is one of our most popular recurring activities that sees a lot of participants from our community each year," said Paul Elsy, Senior EVE Universe Community Manager. "This time around, capsuleers can get their hands-on exclusive rewards such as SKINs, Cerebral Accelerators and Facial Augmentations upon challenging the Cartel's finest combat pilots."

The event comes packaged along with the February update for EVE Online which provides a number of quality of life tweaks, including the ability to share broadcast settings and overview filters, plus the ability to copy current industry job lists. You can find the full patch notes here.

Lastly, CCP Games has introduced CCPlease, a high-level visual roadmap to provide players with an accessible overview of upcoming quality of life fixes, optimizations, and improvements coming to EVE OnlineEVE Updates, on the other hand, will continue to focus on detailed insight to each content update.
