Magdalene Visaggio, Darcie Little Badger, & Khoi Pham Join Humanoids H1 with Strangelands

Last October at New York Comic Con, Humanoids announced plans to launch a brand new shared superhero universe with a mix of established comics stars and up-and-comers. The line was said to launch with three ongoing series and three minis. Not named in the announcement were writers Magdalene Visaggio and Darcie Little Badger and artist Khoi Pham, but in fact those three, along with artist Vanesa Del Rey (who was named in the initial announcement), will be the creative team for one of those three ongoings, Strangelands.

Visaggio and Little Badger revealed the news on Twitter Wednesday.

The other two ongoings, Ignited and Omni, had their full creative teams announced sometime between October and now as well, though writers Mark Waid, Kwanza Osajefyo, and Cheryl Lynn Eaton were indeed mentioned in the original press release. It's difficult to keep track of all this, so let's just look at the solicits for all three series as they now stand:

IGNITED
WRITTEN BY MARK WAID & KWANZA OSAJEFYO
ART BY PHIL BRIONES
COLORS BY LEONARDO PACIAROTTI

It was supposed to be the perfect end to the school year, a beautiful start to summer. But it turned into a nightmare for the kids of Phoenix Academy High School. Now, only a few months later, they're expected to get back to their studies, but nothing will ever be the same. Especially for six of them whose newly acquired superpowers won't be enough to restore balance to their world. Now the choice is in their hands. Will they fight for order…or surrender to chaos?

OMNI
WRITTEN BY CHERYL LYNN EATON
ART BY ARIELA KRISTANTINA

A gifted doctor with a vibrant, compassionate personality, Cecelia Cobbina received boundless praise from her peers and her patients. But that was before the incident in Africa. Before she was forced to leave her job at Doctors Without Borders behind… Before she gained the ability to think faster than the speed of light. Overwhelmed with the power to answer every question, she must now overcome her own fears and tackle the one code she can't seem to break: the truth behind the Ignited.

STRANGELANDS
WRITTEN BY MAGDALENE VISAGGIO & DARCIE LITTLE BADGER
ART BY KOI PHAM & VANESA DEL REY

Opposites attract? Elakshi and Adam Land aren't married. In fact, a month ago, they were perfect strangers, dwelling in lands foreign to one another. But now, they're forced to remain by one another's side, for their separation could mean the planet's demise. Now, their greatest challenge is to stay together — even if they have to tear the world apart to do so.
