Nintendo May Be Holding a New Nintendo Direct in January

If you believe the latest rumors, it sounds like we may be getting a new Nintendo Direct livestream this month to show off new goodies. According to Gaming Intel, a source that wishes not to be named claims that the company is planning a new Nintendo Direct event, and that we could be seeing the video as early as next week on January 10th. Among the games they say are rumored to be in the video will be Luigi's Mansion 3, Yoshi's Crafted World, Animal Crossing, and the next Pokémon title.

For the time being, we're going to say this is fake. Those four games are easy guesses since they've been in previous videos (which were mainly dominated by Smash Bros. news). And if Nintendo was actually planning to launch a new video that soon, we would have already heard from the company about it by now as they love to promote the hell out of these events a few weeks in advance. If it turns out to be true, it would be one of the few times they turned out a video with less than a week's worth of promotion. But you know… we wouldn't mind being wrong to see what they have coming up.
