We Have Over 5 Minutes of Aquaman Footage to Geek Out Over

Aquaman is looking to right the ship for DC and Warner Bros. (regardless how you feel about the films so far), and today they released the best look at the film yet. Over 5 minutes of footage was released, a lot of which was shown in Hall H at this years SDCC in July. Orm, Black Manta, one hell of a chase scene, sharks, Stranger Things-like music. I am digging this. Check it out below:

Summary: Arthur Curry learns that he is the heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, and must step forward to lead his people and to be a hero to the world.

Aquaman Poster NYCC

Between this footage and the above poster that James Wan released yesterday, you can feel anticipation and momentum really gaining for this film. I am rooting for it, besides always being a fan of the character, I want DC to get back to where they should be thematically. I also really enjoy that they have seemingly pulled from all of the characters history here, not sticking to one era of Aquaman stories. Plus: Black Manta and Mera look like badasses.

Aquaman, directed by James Wan, stars Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Nicole Kidman, Patrick Wilson, and Willem Dafoe. It will be released December 21st.
