After fooling the comic book media including Bleeding Cool’s own Rumourmonger-in-Chief Rich Johnston into believing DC was about to launch a new Azrael series, Sean Gordon Murphy has revealed that the image he was teasing yesterday was only a part of a larger teaser for his sequel to Batman: White Knight. Asked for comment, Johnston merely responded with a bashful shrug before returning to posting more articles about Batman’s penis.

Azreal will be prominently featured in the new Black Label comic, however, with Murphy promising, to rewrite “a former Batman ally to become a threat far greater than the Joker ever was.” Called Batman: Curse of the White Night, the new series was revealed in an EX-X-XCLUSIVE interview with Paste Magazine’s intrepid reporter Steve Foxe. See the full teaser below:

Look for it in stores sometime next year.

About Jude Terror

A prophecy says that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero will come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events.

Scourge of Rich Johnston, maker of puns, and seeker of the Snyder Cut, Jude Terror, sadly, is not the hero comics needs right now... but he's the one the industry deserves.
