Did You Enjoy #ALLIN? Jim Cornette Was Not a Fan

The excitement for last night’s All In event was high amongst pro wrestling fans. As the first pro-wrestling event not held by WWE or WCW to sell out a 10,000 seat arena in the United States since 1994, there was obviously a lot of interest in the show. And as the event trended at #1 worldwide on Twitter, there was a lot of interest during the show, even from people watching at home on PPV or through Ring of Honor’s Honor Club streaming service.

If you ask this reporter, the show delivered, but legendary wrestling curmudgeon Jim Cornette disagrees. Cornette took to Twitter to post:

Cornette was referring to Joey Ryan, who returned from the dead (he was “murdered” by Hangman Page on Being the Elite) in an X-rated parody of The Undertaker at the end of Page’s match against Joey Janella. After “rising” from the dead (in his pants), Ryan entered the Sears Center accompanied by a procession of inflatable penis druids, oiled himself up, and quickly beat down Page, who was carried off by the penises. So it all made sense, you see. But Cornette wasn’t impressed.

And Cornette is also apparently not a believer in the old adage that any publicity is good publicity.

So Jim Cornette, in case you weren’t wondering, was *not* “All In” last night. But what did you think? Let us know in the comments.

About Jude Terror

A prophecy says that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero will come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events.

Scourge of Rich Johnston, maker of puns, and seeker of the Snyder Cut, Jude Terror, sadly, is not the hero comics needs right now... but he's the one the industry deserves.
