Here’s a little bit of Brian Michael Bendis‘s script that Jim Lee turned into the page below. As Superman crashes into a high-end delicatessen in Metropolis…
The two women, let’s call them Laura and Stacy, tentatively come up to Superman’s body and have absolutely no ideas what to make of it or what to do. Stacy pulls out her phone and takes a pic.
I think is any superhero shows up in any civilian’s life that person’s life is rattled. Shock and awe. if Superman walked in or crashed into your world, you would never recover. It is all you would talk about.
Laura (Cont’d): Oh my god.
Stacy: It’s him. It’s REALLY him.
I’ve lived here 5 years and I’ve never even seen him fly by.
Expect them back in Man of Steel #4…
Action Comics #1000 will begin Bendis’s run on the character, and the subsequent weekly mini-series Man of Steel will see Lois Lane and Jonathan Lane under severe threat… possibly from whatever just hit Superman.
