Batbooks Get Fill-In Arcs Until After the BatWedding – a BatRelaunch in the Cards?

With a Batman Wedding coming up, it looks like there's some rejigging of the Batbooks, as there has been with the Superbooks after Brian Michael Bendis jumped on.

Batgirl & The Birds if Prey is cancelled in May.

Batgirl #24 gets writer Shawn Aldridge instead of Hope Larson for a short story in June.

Detective Comics #982 and #983 gets writer Bryan Hill instead of James Tynion for a short story.

Nightwing has had a number of rotating teams of late, with Benjamin Percy writing a short story for May and June.

Harley Quinn #42 and #43 have Christopher Sebela doing a short story before, apparently, Sam Humphries takes over. And at that point, Harley Quinn collections will restart with a new Volume 1.

Tim Seeley is writing a batch of Wedding Prelude one-shot titles in June.

And Tom King and Mikel Janin have Batman #48 and #49 before the big Batman/Catwoman wedding in #50.

Could it be that we are heading for a big Batman relaunch in July? With fill-in arcs scheduled to give the new creative teams time to bed in?

Everyone loves a wedding… but it's what comes afterwards that is always more interesting.
