Newest Addition to WWE Hall of Fame 2018 Class Will Make You Say "Bawitdaba Da Bang Da Bang Diggy"

In a move somehow even less relevant than Saturday Night Live's Nickelback sketch this past weekend, WWE has revealed that Kid Rock is the latest inductee in the WWE Hall of Fame 2018 class. The news was "discovered" by Billboard Magazine, part of WWE's ongoing initiative to leak their Hall of Fame inductees in mainstream media outlets to make it look like mainstream media outlets care who they're inducting into their Hall of Fame enough to investigate it. Miraculously, all of these reports from news organizations come out on Monday's, ahead of WWE Monday Night Raw.

Kid Rock joining the Hall of Fame solidifies WWE's commitment to rap rock. The company is one of the last bastions for the form of music popularized in the late '90s by artists like Kid Rock, Rage Against the Machine, and Limp Bizkit, as well as for rap rock's equally annoying cousin, nu metal. Both genres of music mercifully died out over a decade ago, but somehow continue to live on in WWE wrestler theme songs and official PPV themes.

Kid Rock counts amongst his Hall of Fame-worthy contributions to the sport of pro wrestling providing theme songs for the likes of The Undertaker and Stacy Keibler, as well as performing live at WrestleMania 25. Kid Rock joins Goldberg, The Dudley Boyz, Ivory, Jeff Jarrett, and Hillbilly Jim in the 2018 Hall of Fame class, to be immortalized alongside past inductees like Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, and Donald Trump.
