Avengers: Infinity War – New Character Bios Tease Motivations

We have some new character bios for some of the characters in Avengers: Infinity War. Despite the movie coming out fairly soon we don't actually know that much about it. Over on the Toys"R"Us Movie HQ page they have all the toys for the upcoming movie. They also have some promo art and character bios that tell us a few new things about the production.

While we're missing a bunch of key players here one of the new things we learn is that Captain America hasn't been idle since giving up the shield. The bio says he's been running "clandestine missions" so despite no longer being Captain America Steve Rogers is still out there trying to help people. We learn that Black Widow has been on the run since the events of Captain America: Civil War, it's implied in the movie but we don't hear anyone actually say it, and that Thor is wrestling to feel worthy after the events of Thor: Ragnarok. The promo material for Avengers: Infinity War concerning Thor is strange; half the time he's missing an eye and the other half he's not.

Summary: As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.

Avengers: Infinity War, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, stars Robert Downey Jr., Josh Brolin, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Bettany, Chadwick Boseman, Benedict Wong, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Pom Klementieff, Scarlett Johansson, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Bradley Cooper, Sean Gunn, and Anthony Mackie. It will be released on April 27th.
