New Behind-the-Scenes Featurette Shows Off the Stunts of Mission: Impossible Fallout

We all know Tom Cruise is probably more than a little thrill-seeking, but it seems he’s found a director that’s willing to indulge that to truly insane levels. That director is Mission: Impossible Fallout director Christopher McQuarrie, and the stunt in question involves a helicopter. After announcing that they are using the cut where Cruise broke his ankle during a stunt in the final movie, this featurette shows off one of the big ones from the 6th installment in this franchise.

Only Cruise would look at a stunt like that and go, “I want everyone to know I’m flying this helicopter, otherwise the immersion is going to be totally ruined.” You have to admire his dedication if nothing else.

Summary: Ethan Hunt and his IMF team, along with some familiar allies, race against time after a mission gone wrong.

Mission: Impossible Fallout, directed by Christoper McQuarrie, stars Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Henry Cavill, Vanessa Kirby, Alec Baldwin, and Angela Bassett. It will be released on July 27th.
