Did a European Retailer Leak the PS4 Spider-Man Game’s Release Date?

If you’ve been wondering when we’ll see the PS4 Spider-Man video game, we may have an answer for you courtesy of a European retailer. Sweden-based business CoolShop made this listing over the weekend for the game, and as you can see from the screenshot below, the data clearly shows a planned release date of September 28th, 2018.

This isn’t the first time a game’s release date has ever been leaked, as we have constantly seen leaked information from major retailers like Walmart, Target, and even FYE on occasion. We even get the occasional leak from the ESRB and their foreign counterparts. But the fact that we’re seeing a date this far out for a game this big is almost unheard of.

There’s really nothing to dispute the reality of it, as that looks like a genuine cover with the PEGI age info on the front, along with the Marvel and Insomniac Games logos. Chances are this was going to be part of the game’s information that would have been released at E3, as we’re assuming based on previous patterns, we’re probably getting a reveal and a demo booth at the event. We’ll see if Sony or Insomniac Games decide to come out with the info now that it’s out in the open.
