US Avengers came to an end with #12. Uncanny Avengers with #30. While Avengers #674 led into Mark Waid and Humberto Ramos‘s buy-one-get-one-free deal on Champions, the other titles both lead into Avengers #675 in their own ways, as the creative teams of all series combine to create a weekly Avengers series running for four months, No Surrender.
But what clues to the lead-ins suggest?
Well, U.S.Avengers from Al Ewing, Paco Diaz and Jesus Aburtov suggests a “him” against which all the Avengers are fighting.
While this week’s Uncanny Avengers by Jim Zub, Sean Izaakse, and Tamra Bonvillain shows us the Avengers original team statue…
…complete with the image of the character known only as Voyager, somehow retconned into continuity, as we had previously glimpsed in Marvel Legacy #1…
…and the cover to Avengers #675.
Most of you may have read a chunk of Avengers #675, as destruction comes to Earth. There’s no “he” as in U.S.Avengers — not yet, at least. But there is Voyager.
Oh, don’t think you’ll get any answers, though. Not in the first issue. What are the odds this is the cliffhanger splash page?
