Tales of Tomorrow: Bringing Comics, Cosplay, and Coffee to the Four Corners

The Four Corners is a region of the United States consisting of the southwestern corner of Colorado, southeastern corner of Utah, northeastern corner of Arizona, and northwestern corner of New Mexico. The Four Corners area is named where the boundaries of the four states meet, the only location in the United States where this happens. Most of the Four Corners region belongs to semi-autonomous Native American nations, the largest of which is the Navajo Nation, followed by Hopi, Ute, and Zunitribal reserves and nations. The most populous city in the Four Corners region is Farmington, New Mexico.

And it's just gotten a comic shop.

Steve Clark, Lauren Harris, and Derek Lovell just had a soft opening for Tales of Tomorrow. As well as a wall of new comics, the store also carries nonfiction and historical novels, as well as art books, humour, and a children's section.

It will also have a section devoted to to cosplay supplies, and individual cosplay pieces can be commissioned from the shop, as well.

Oh, and if that wasn't enough, there's the Cosmic Cafe soon to open — a bakery and coffee shop section — offering Harris's cookies, fresh pies, and breakfast pastries along with drip coffee, espresso, and specialty drinks.

Man, what is it with new comic shops and pies right now?

Harris told The Farmington Daily Times:

"I want to make something that Farmington can be proud of, something that some people can step into and [think], 'Wow, this is in my town' and get invested in it and feel proud of it, like the way you feel when you go to the library. I love the library here — it's bright and beautiful and clean, and it has everything you need."

Tales of Tomorrow's hours are as follows:

10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays
10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays
11 a..m to 9:30 p.m. on Fridays
11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Saturdays
