Avengers: Infinity War Will See Nebula "Confront" Her Past

We know that Nebula (Karen Gillan) is going to play a role in Avengers: Infinity War. At the moment her and her sister Gamora (Zoe Saldana) are the only ones who know what Thanos (Josh Brolin) is really capable of. She is featured pretty heavily on the teaser poster and Gillan has revealed during a panel at Florida Supercon (via ComicBook.com) that we're going to learn more about her past.

"Without giving away any spoilers," Gillan explained, "we're definitely going to continue the arc for Nebula and find out more about her past. And actually, we're going to find out that it's even worse than we know."

The things that Nebula described in the Guardians sequel was already pretty harrowing so the idea that it was somehow worse is not a fun thing to hear.

"We're going to see her confront all of it." Gillan revealed. "It's going to be like an emotional explosion."

That type of emotional explosion might not be a good thing for Nebula. We know that she's eager to kill Thanos but Thanos is not going to be killed easily. If there was a person that could die in this battle it would be her. It would be nice if she at least got a little closure for the hell that Thanos put her through first. Also, hints about Nebula's past could also lead us to learning more about Gamora who hasn't shared much about her time under Thanos yet.

Avengers: Infinity War, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, stars Robert Downey Jr., Josh Brolin, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Bettany, Chadwick Boseman, Benedict Wong, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Pom Klementieff, Scarlett Johansson, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Bradley Cooper, and Anthony Mackie. It will be released on May 4th, 2018.
