White Day: A Labyrinth Named School Has A Western Release Date

unnamed-2

With a name like White Day: A Labrynth Named School, there were only so many ways this game could go. And naturally, because this is a Korean import, that way was both disturbing and also somewhat weirdly satisfying.

If that isn't enough of a descriptor for you, this is the game's synopsis:

When a romantic gesture takes a wrong turn, you find yourself trapped inside a school at night. Survive encounters with horrifying ghosts, evade a murdering janitor and race against the clock to solve puzzles and save your fellow students.

With tense survival horror gameplay and bone-chilling scares, White Day: A Labyrinth Named School is widely considered one of the scariest games ever made. This survival horror classic is being completely remade for current gen hardware with expanded gameplay features and new storylines to please and terrify both grizzled veterans and new scaredy-cats alike.

Earlier this week PQube announced the western release date for Roi Games' White Day, which will unleash the game on unsuspecting North American audiences on August 1st, and for the European gamers, White Day will start haunting your nightmares on August 4th. Like a lot of Asian imports, this one is specifically a PlayStation 4 release, because why even own an Xbox One?

And naturally, the game's release date trailer is bizarre as hell. The semi-outdated graphics and uncanny valley eyes really help sell this one as a horror title. You can check it out below.
