THQ Nordic made a ton of announcements earlier today about their upcoming games slate, just ahead of the Electronics Entertainment Expo (E3) in just over a week. Their upcoming slate is decently heavy, with three releases coming in the fall and winter of 2017.

The first game of the three upcoming releases is Battle Chasers: Nightwar which will hit PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch on October 3rd, 2017. Battle Chasers: Nightwar is an RPG inspired by the classic console greats so it has a pretty nice retro feel to it and features deep dungeon diving, turn-based combat presented in a classic JRPG format, and a rich story driven by exploration of the world. So, it's pretty much a very western take on your classic JRPG. PC players can pick up Battle Chasers on Steam or GOG.

ELEX, the open world RPG by developer Piranha Bytes, will follow closely on the heels of Battle Chasers, as it's slated to release on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on October 17th, 2017. Piranha Bytes has framed ELEX as a "handcrafted action role-playing experience from the award-winning creators of the Gothic series, set in a brand new post-apocalyptic Science Fantasy universe that puts players into a huge seamless game world full of original characters, mutated creatures, deep moral choices and powerful action." PC players can, again, pick this up on Steam or GOG.

And finally, SpellForce 3 is slated to hit on December 7th, 2017 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. SpellForce 3 is naturally the third installment in the SpellForce series, and takes the game a bit closer to home by blending the RTS and RPG formats. The balance should make things more familiar for SpellForce fans than the somewhat abrupt departure from form that was SpellForce 2SpellForce 3 will also be available on Steam and GOG.

All three games are currently 10% off on both Steam and GOG, but I'm not sure if that $3-5 USD price shave is going to be a selling point for many.
