Greg Capullo On Dark Nights: Metal – DC Master Class

Batman artist Greg Capullo talks about his mom getting him into reading comics and how that lead to him want to draw them. He also talks about his two biggest influences: John Buscema and Mort Drucker and how most of his career has been through collaboration. He considers himself, 'old-school Marvel', where they would work from a synopsis.

The artist also talks about the new directions and heights for the upcoming Dark Nights: Metal series with Scott Snyder. He thinks the promo art of Batman with two battle axes is a good sign of what craziness is to come. He also talks about working with Snyder and how it's like working with family.

Capullo has been working in comics for over 25 years having spent time with Marvel on Quasar and X-Force, then going over to Image to work on Spawn and Angela before hooking up with DC where he's been a mainstay on Batman for the last six years.
