Comic Legend Bernie Wrightson Has Passed Away

It is with a very sad heart that I write this. Legendary comic artist Bernie Wrightson has passed away. His wife Liz posted the news on his Facebook page just moments ago. Bernie had been fighting brain cancer, recently having surgery and he was forced to retire from comics. Bernie may be known as an incredible artist, but he was an incredible person as well. The opportunities I had to speak to him over the years were far too few, but I felt lucky to have everyone of them.

Bernie was know for some many great works like his time on Swamp Thing, his work for Heavy Metal and his ground breaking Frankenstein book. He was an inspiration to so many artist working today… and he will be sorely missed.

Sincerest condolences to his family and friends.
