Plague Of Locusts, Frogs Fall From Sky And Witchblade Returns As A TV Series Again

f19d61276a118ea8ee17e5326eb7a102Witchblade was a comic created by Marc Silvestri, David Wohl, Brian Haberlin and Michael Turner for Top Cow Studios publishing through Image Comics. About police officer Sara Pezzini who gains a mystical artifact that transforms her into a warrior with too little clothing.

In 2001, it became a TV series starring Yancy Butler on TNT, and made it to two seasons,

Now, courtesy of the folk at Comic Book, comes the news that Witchblade is to return as a TV series from Sony Pictures Television and NBC Universal.

And the basic premise won't be changed. Sara Pezzini. Cop. Witchblade. Supernatural police procedural. The series will be executive produced by Caroline Dries and Brian Young, who wrote the pilot.

Just hope no one has to go into rehab this time around. Could this compete with fellow Image comic about a cop/witch Black Magick, also being developed as a TV series?
