Lana Lang – A Return To Insect Queen?

spider girlIn 1965, Lana Lang rescued an insect-like alien trapped under a tree. In gratitude, he gave her a bio-genetic ring that allowed her to gain the powers of insects or arachnids (by giving her lower body the form of a particular bug, each form restricted to once a day use/

So she became Insect Queen. For a bit.

The Earth Two parallel world Lana Lang also became Insect Queen, this time powered by a magical scarab jewel from an Egyptian tomb, this time, a possessed villain who could control and enlarge insects.

But the Crisis On Infinite Earths wiped both of those out.

In 2008, the character was revived as a brand new character, an insectoid alien – who looked like Lana Lang in human form, but wasn't.

A fourth Insect Queen was Lonna Leing of the planet Xanthu, in the 30th century and appeared in Legion of Super-Heroes and able transform her body from the waist down into an insect or arachnid's body and assume their abilities.

A fifth Insect Queen was a former member of the Justice Underground in JLA Secret Files.

Well, now we have a sixth. In today's Superwoman – now that Lana Lang is the only Superwoman – we see a possible future for the character beyond her current super powers.
