Ursula Stormholder Is Headed Into The Suck
Okay… you show me a comic called Into The Suck, the odds are I'm going to at least stop and look. That's what happened with this new Kickstarter project from Keith Thomas and CB Zane. Into the Suck stars Ursula Stormholder… which sounds like a George Lucas created name… a privateer who makes her living doing pick-ups, deliveries and the occasional kidnapping. She is also the daughter of the most feared space pirate which gives her quite the reputation.
The six-issue miniseries follows Ursula on a job to deliver a heavy set drunken frat boy only to discover the person who brokered the deal has been murdered. Now, with her cargo in tow, she must discovered who wanted the human in the first place so she can get paid.
In the process she is caught up in her love/hate relationship with her father, chased by the Royal Fleet and ultimately forced to lead a rescue, thwart a villainous foe bent of universal domination and save the galaxy… much like her father did years ago when he was a hero, before this area was the cold, dark, war ravaged place they call The Suck.
This series looks like a lot of fun and the art looks great. This looks like something out of Heavy Metal.
