This is how Tom King and Mitch Gerad‘s Sheriff Of Baghdad graphic novel from DC Comics was announced at San Diego Comic Con. It’s one of a number of new projects announced by DC Vertigo at San Diego Comic Con and is seen by some as evidence of a creative revival at the imprint that’s been a long time coming, as Fables ends, American Vampire pauses and Sandman Overture concludes.

At the time it was observed that it shared the name with that used by retired Sergeant Major John McPhee.
