CD Projekt Red Think Remastering Older Witchers Is A Cool Idea But Isn't Likely To Happen
Remasters are all the rage at the minute as publishers scramble to get their old classics onto new consoles. It's gotten to the point where many think we are long past saturation, but that isn't stopping new remasters being announced by the day.
Don't expect to see The Witcher or The Witcher 2 turn up anytime soon though, even if CD Projekt Red think it's a great idea. Responding to a fan on Twitter, Community Lead Marcin Momot said he thinks its a good idea, but that the company are unlikely to commit to it:
That is a shame. Granted, a full remake of the games would take just as long as a new game though, so I can see the logic there. Those games can already run incredibly well on PC anyways, so a simply uprez in quality doesn't feel overly needed.
