John Barrowman To Lead The 49th Key

The newest issue of Heavy Metal hit stands this week and it features a new story called The 49th Key by former TV-Exec-turned-author Erica Lewis. It seems that story has already gotten moving in Hollywood as Doctor Who, Torchwood and Arrow star John Barrowman has signed on to star in and executive produce the story as an event miniseries.

49th Key is based on a 16th century legend of Enochian magic and the secret language of angels. A young mute and autistic boy is the key between our world and the magical society that exist below the surface filled with fantasy creatures and advanced humans. A rogue archaeologist must protect the boy through a treacherous journey through England to bring the boy home.
